Cricketer Virat Kohli sort of confirmed his relationship status with Anushka Sharma. Shah Rukh Khan, who was the star attraction, made him indirectly confess his love

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone were the star attraction at a dinner party that was hosted at the Emirates Palace to mark the opening ceremony of the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Shah Rukh Khan and Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma

It seems that the actor was at his wittiest best at this do and he even made Virat indirectly confess about his love. A source says, `Shah Rukh and Deepika walked the red carpet and posed for the cameras.

This was a by invitation only dinner that was attended several celebs, including players belonging to all the IPL teams. SRK put on a brief show and after his performance, he even arranged for a mock swayamvar for Virat.`

A source says that the cricketer was not caught unawares by SRK's stint. `Virat looked like he knew what was in store for him. It helped that Shah Rukh shares a good rapport with most Indian cricketers.

Besides, he has always indulged in friendly banter with them. SRK called Virat on the stage and asked him to pick one of the actresses as his bride. Virat then started uncovering posters of Bollywood actresses only to zero in on Anushka Sharma. SRK then presented her poster to him and all guests were in splits.`

Shah Rukh later took to Twitter to thank Virat for putting on a brave front. He posted, `Big thanks to Shane, Virat & Dhoni for being so sporting on stage. Great sportsman & even greater sporting spirit. Thanks Abu Dhabi & IPL.` (sic)

I`ve not gone under the knife, clarifies Anushka

I`ve not gone under the knife, clarifies Anushka

Actress Anushka Sharma, who is being talked about for her fuller lips, denies going under the knife for the new look. She attributes her changed looks to a temporary lip enhancing tool for her role in the upcoming movie "Bombay Velvet".

The speculation started after Anushka, who made her Bollywood debut with "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi", appeared on "Koffee With Karan".

The 25-year-old took to microblogging website Twitter to deny reports of having undergone cosmetic surgery.

"...Lately there has been a lot of talk about me in this particular episode of 'Koffee with Karan'. Mainly regarding my lips. I am here to just convey what I have to say regarding the same. I am talking about it only because this story has taken a scary direction and things have been 'blown out of proportion' (pun intended)," Anushka tweeted Monday night.

"For a short while now, I have been using a temporary lip enhancing tool and that along with make-up techniques (I have learnt over the years) is the reason why there might be a change in the appearance of my lips.

"...Let me assure everyone that I have by no means gone 'under the knife' or done any kind of 'plastic surgery' or undergone any intrusive procedure. This was my decision and was done for the sake of my look in my upcoming film 'Bombay Velvet', a period drama where I play a jazz singer in the 1960s-1970s. And it was taken from the referencing of that time," she added.

The "Band Baaja Baaraat" star further said that her changed looks on the show "is due to lot of factors put together" and not just her lips, and she doesn't think that she was at her best in terms of her looks.

She said that she is setting the record straight once and for all.

"To put the current conjecture and reportage straight once and for all - I do not believe in plastic surgery or any other means of unnatural permanent changes to the body. I do not support it or stand for it or recommend it," she posted.

The actress gets support from her contemporaries Sonam Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

Sonam tweeted: "Kudos to Anushka Sharma for addressing unfair criticism head on... have always admired her as an actor and now I definitely admire her as a person."

Alia posted: "Way to go Anushka Sharma. People are dealing with a strong girl here so say what you want... nothing is bringing her down."

Karan Johar, host of "Koffee With Karan", also praised her.

"Anushka Sharma is a powerhouse of talent and the downside of social media cannot and will not take away the core of her creative existence," he tweeted.

Pyaar Ke Side Effect: Equations between former lovers of B-Town

Pyaar Ke Side Effect: Equations between former lovers of B-Town
In the modern world, relationships are as fickle as they come. Actors are together or not in their personal lives, work has to go on. HitList analyses a few of those equations.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif
The two split in 2009 after apparently Katrina started dating Ranbir during the making of Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani. But the two remain cordial with each other. Salman Khan performed with her in an item numbers for Tees Maar Khan before working with her again in Ek Tha Tiger. She is known to visit the actor's place regularly. Though chances of the two coming together for a film seem slim, it may be noted that Salman and Katrina's film Yuvraj had tanked at the box office.

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu

Their eight-year relationship ended on a bitter note. Though John hasn't spoken about her for a while now, Bipasha has often hinted at the actor having caused the split. When the two were together, the couple was also approached by product companies for endorsements. Since their split, they haven't worked together.. There were recent reports that Bipasha was considered for a cameo in Shootout at Wadala but was dropped as John was against her being cast in the film. She was eventually replaced by Sunny Leone in the film.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone

The two worked together in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (YJHD) and they will pair up again in Imtiaz Ali's next film that goes on the floors in June this year. The actors were seeing each other during the shoot for Bachna Ae Haseeno and initially the film did average business at the box office. Then came their split and the release of YJHD, which was a resounding success. The two are now open to working with each other and are good friends too.

Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja

This couple may no longer be together but the two are on talking terms. When the first look of Harman's film Dishikyaoon was recently launched, Priyanka Chopra sent out a tweet congratulating the actor, and wishing him good luck. It may be recalled that Priyanka and Harman dated each other for more than a year and worked together in two films: Love Story 2050 and What's Your Rashee? Clearly, the two have moved on.

Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh

They started dating each other during the making of the film, Band Baaja Baarat. The two were cast opposite each other in Maneesh Sharma's second film, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. The two apparently split after the actor expressed his displeasure over Anushka's friendship with another actor. But the two will star together in Zoya Akhtar's next film. Ranveer Singh has reportedly said that he is looking forward to working again with Anushka. He even has given her the credit for making him a better actor.

Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor

It took them a decade to finally come together again in Karan Malhotra's film Shuddhi. Kareena has been eager to start work on the film but the shoot has been delayed due to Hrithik's ill-health and his separation from wife Sussanne. The two last worked together in Sooraj Barjatya's film, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon. This 2003 film failed to make a mark at the BO. After that due to personal issues, they didn't work with each other.

Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra

Though neither of them have confirmed or denied their relationship, rumour mills have been buzzing with news about their romance. Recently when Karan Johar quizzed PC on his show about Shahid Kapoor, she replied saying, `Gandi Baat.` It is said that they broke up during the making of Teri Meri Kahani and theirs was a cordial split. We wonder if the two will come together in Vishal Bhardwaj's Kaminey2.

Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor

It is being said that their split was an acrimonious one and things don't seem to have improved between the two. Grapevine has it that the actress and the actor had a showdown during rehearsals for an award function. The two, who dated for more than two years, went separate ways during the making of Jab We Met. Interestingly, their films - 36 China Town, Chup Chup Ke and Fida -- failed to work magic at the box office.

Blast from the past
Madhubala and Dilip Kumar: Dilip Kumar and Madhubala worked together in four films. The two stars broke up just before the making of Mughal E Azam and despite their differences, they went on to act in films such as Tarana, Sangdil and Amar.

Rekha and Vinod Mehra: Rekha and Vinod Mehra starting seeing each other during the making of the film Elaan in 1971. The two were said to be married but the actress denied this. The two came together after their split in Manik Chatterji's film, Ghar that was very well-received by the audiences.
