`Holiday` stable, `Filmistaan` picks up on day two

Nitin Kakkar's National Award-winning film "Filmistaan" has no big names, but showed a major growth by earning over Rs.1 crore on the second day of its release, while action titan Akshay Kumar's "Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty" maintained its opening day box office figure i.e over Rs.12 crore.

Well if we go by some of the recent cine laurels of our very own Khiladi Kumar Akshay, then it looks like this entertainer of the masses have developed a through fascination for the remakes of southern cine blockbusters. And what made us think so is the recently released first trailer of Akki's much anticipated movie of the year 'Holiday: A Soldier Never off Duty'.

Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, 'Holiday: A Soldier Never off Duty' is the remake of 2012 Tamil blockbuster Thupakki which had Vijay and Kajal Aggrawal in the main lead.

Reportedly in the movie Akki will be seen playing the character of a DIA (Defence Intelligence Officer) Viraat. First couple of minutes of trailer showcases the bubbly romance brewing between Sonakshi and Akshay, whereas the second half takes you to an altogether different world, where Akki is seen taking on `Sleeper Cells of terrorists who just have one mission, and that is of creating socio-political unrest in the country.

Keeping in view the accomplishments which Akshay has achieved in the past while working in some of the southern remakes, and the first glance of 'Holiday: A Soldier Never Off Duty', it is expected that with 'Holiday: A Soldier Never Off Duty', Akki will once again succeeding in making a dent at BO with this action packed cine delight penned by A.R. Murugadoss.

Just before the release of its first trailer 'Holiday: A Soldier Never off Duty' shot to fame a few days back when a tug of war over its released i.e. June 6th 2014 surfaced in the grapevine. And if reports coming from tinsel town are to be believed then even Ajay Devgn's `Action Jackson` is also releasing on the same day. So probably with the release of these two most anticipated movies of the years it is going to be a war like situation at BO.
