Double take: `Hate Story 2` releases a second censored trailer

Due to the Censor Board's objection, two trailers of upcoming thriller 'Hate Story 2' have been released - one with bold content and another without it

Due to its sexually explicit content, the makers of the upcoming thriller, 'Hate Story 2', have released two trailers for the film. The theatrical trailer that was launched recently is the censored version.

Another version with steamy scenes has been made for video-sharing websites. Given that the Censor Board apparently did not allow some scenes from the first trailer to be aired in theatres and on TV, the makers decided to release another one online.

The film features telly actors Surveen Chawla (best known as Charu in Kahin To Hoga) and Jay Bhanushali (host of Dance India Dance). Directed by Vishal Pandya, the film is a revenge saga with T Series and Vikram Bhatt as its producers.

Says a source, `Since the film has bold content, the makers decided to make two separate trailers. The Censor Board raised objections to some lovemaking scenes in the trailer as well as the recreated song, Aaj Tum Pe Jo Pyar Aaya Hai, from the 1988 film, Dayavan which has now been sung by Arijit Singh. The scenes were found unsuitable for general viewing.

Vinod Bhanushali of T Series confirms, `Keeping the Censor Board in mind, we have released two trailers: one for Youtube and another for theatrical release.`

'Hate Story 2' is a sequel to the 2012 film that was directed by Vivek Agnihotri and starred Paoli Dam, Gulshan Devaiah and Nikhil Dwivedi.
